SkillBridge

Designed and developed SkillBridge, a full-scale, industry-standard recruitment platform designed to connect Sri Lankan undergraduates with the right opportunities using AI-driven recommendations and resume intelligence.
This wasn’t just a university project - we engineered SkillBridge like a real production-level MERN system, complete with AI services, secure authentication, role-based access, dashboards, analytics, and modern UI/UX.

Role: Lead Full-Stack Developer, Team Lead & Project Manager

• Admin moderation tools & action logs for system governance

My Leadership & Engineering Contributions:

• Led a 5-member team using Agile (JIRA, sprints, code reviews)
• Designed the system architecture (MERN + FastAPI microservice)
• Developed all job-seeker modules + core backend services
• Integrated AI (NLP-based resume matching, vector similarity search)
• Deployed frontend on Vercel and backend + AI services on Render

Impact:
This project strengthened my real-world leadership, system design, and cross-functional engineering skills while delivering a fully functional AI-powered recruitment platform.
